Coffee Pots is an informal, friendly and non-affiliated meeting for ladies of all ages.
It is held from 10.30 to 12 noon every Wednesday during the school term in some members’ homes. Average attendance is about 20 and occasionally there is a speaker.
Visitors, or newcomers from the area, are welcome at any time.
There is no annual subscription, Coffee or Tea is 30p
A Summer & Christmas “bring and share” lunch is held. Annually there is a Plant stall and Cake stall for the Great Somerford Church Fete.
The committee of Chairlady, Secretary and Treasurer, who are elected annually. Any business is discussed and decided upon by members, this usually takes 5 to 10 minutes of the meeting.
Started in 1968, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere is a good introduction to people of the village. It is especially useful for newcomers to learn more about events and organisations in the area.
Every lady is made welcome and can attend as often or as little as wished.
